The Community of Madrid has labeled the migratory regularization promoted by the Central Government as "chaos," warning of the collapse of public services and a lack of coordination with regional and local administrations.

The regional minister of Family, Youth and Social Affairs for the Community of Madrid has voiced concerns regarding the migratory regularization initiative by the Central Government, describing it as a political strategy to "remain in La Moncloa." According to the minister, this measure is already causing significant issues in the region's public services.

"The impact is visible: a collapse of appointments in many resources and very complex situations in local councils. Not even the Government knows how many people will be affected."

The minister criticized the lack of consultation with autonomous communities and local councils before the measure's approval, as well as the inadequate organization and funding. She insisted that it is an "exclusively political" initiative for electoral gain, which also creates a "pull factor" and exacerbates structural problems like poverty.
Furthermore, she supported the regional president's decision to challenge the measure in court, deeming it a "populist" approach. The criticism extends to the distribution of migrant minors, which, according to the minister, "deliberately" excludes other communities, highlighting the political nature of the decision.
The Community of Madrid demands a coordinated, funded migratory policy that involves all territorial administrations, in contrast to what it considers improvisation by the Central Government.
