Five stabbed in Madrid over the weekend

Two altercations in San Blas and Legazpi leave five people stabbed, one seriously injured and others with facial cuts.

The weekend in Madrid was marked by violence, with five people stabbed in two separate altercations that occurred in the San Blas and Legazpi neighborhoods.

A fight between rival gangs on Aquitania street, in the San Blas neighborhood, left three men injured by a bladed weapon early Sunday morning. Two young men, aged 23 and 24, sustained penetrating rib wounds and were taken to La Paz Hospital, one of them in serious condition. A third man, 36, received treatment for minor cuts on his hand and was transferred to Gregorio Marañón Hospital.
The events are under investigation by the Municipal Police.
Meanwhile, in the Legazpi neighborhood, another stabbing incident occurred on Saturday involving two men. Both presented incised wounds to the face. One is in serious condition after significant blood loss, while the other suffered minor injuries. Samur-Civil Protection services attended to and transported both injured individuals to a hospital.
