BM Supermarkets opened a new store this Thursday in the Chamberí district of Madrid, strengthening its presence in the city center with an investment of 3 million euros and the creation of 28 jobs.

The supermarket chain BM Supermercados expands its network with the opening of a new location at Calle Galileo, 25, in Madrid's Chamberí district. This inauguration is part of the BM model's development plan in the central area, which recently included another opening in Arroyomolinos. Combined, these two latest openings represent an investment of 5.7 million euros, bringing the company's network to 84 establishments and employing over 2,000 professionals in the Community of Madrid.
The new Chamberí supermarket features 900 square meters of sales floor and offers a selection of 10,000 products. The 3 million euro investment for its launch has facilitated the creation of 28 jobs, which have undergone a specific training plan, as highlighted by the company, reaffirming its commitment to service excellence and employment.
The company emphasizes that the new store will be a true reflection of the BM model, focused on the quality of its assortment and excellence in service, with a particular emphasis on fresh and local products. The attended sections for butcher and delicatessen, the fish counter, and the self-service fruit and vegetable area will be key features, along with a bakery and other departments.
In line with its commitment to forging alliances with Madrid-based suppliers to ensure the quality and proximity of its products, the supermarket will feature 'kilometer 0' items. These include vegetables from José Antonio Herrero in Villa del Prado, fresh milk and butter from La Colmenareña, smoked sardines from Fish Gourmet in the Sierra de Madrid (Guadarrama), and cooked octopus from Antonio & Ricardo in Getafe. The local selection is complemented by cheeses from Marqués de Mendiola, La Cabezuela, Suerte Ampanera, El Embrujo de la Sierra, and Miraflores de la Sierra, cured meats from Soriano, and empanadas from Zabala.
The range of local products is further enhanced by chickpeas from La Garbancera Madrileña, preserves from Cachopo, snacks from La Montaña, and a selection of wines from Madrid such as Vega Madroño, D.O. Madrid Puerta de Alcalá, D.O. Madrid Dulce María, D.O. Madrid Senda, Finca Constancia, and Alma de Valdeguerra. Gins and liquors from Alambique de Santa Marta, and Vermouth Zarro will also be available.
The establishment will operate from Monday to Sunday and on holidays, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM, and will offer home delivery service. To celebrate the opening, from May 21st to 24th, customers will receive a set of glasses and mugs as a gift for purchases over 35 euros.
