Interested individuals can submit their applications until September 15th. During the registration process, details on participating libraries, available schedules, and age groups for children's activities will be provided. Each participant may register for only one workshop per modality.
On September 16th, a draw will be held to determine the selection order for participants. Subsequently, each library will communicate the allocation of places and the start date for the scheduled activities.
The adult program includes reading clubs, language discussion groups, creative writing, poetry, comic, and chess workshops. Reading clubs, with groups of up to 15 people, will focus on analyzing literary works, styles, and contexts.
The English, French, or Portuguese conversation groups, led by a moderator, aim to improve oral expression through discussions on cultural and literary topics. These weekly 60-minute sessions will accommodate a maximum of 15 participants.
Creative writing and poetry workshops will be held bi-weekly in 90-minute sessions. Meanwhile, chess workshops will offer beginner and advanced levels, focusing on both learning and improving gameplay.
For minors, reading clubs and English conversation, comic, and chess workshops have been designed, adapted to different age groups. Children's reading clubs (ages 9-12) will combine readings with comprehension games and creative activities.
English conversation groups for children aged 8 to 12 will utilize games and role-playing to foster communication. Comic workshops, aimed at young people aged 8 to 17, will explore expressive drawing, character creation, and visual storytelling.
In October, five intensive workshops for adults will be offered, each consisting of four 90-minute sessions with a limit of 15 participants. The offerings include digital literacy, cinema, philosophy, history and art of Madrid, and psychology.
