With the arrival of high temperatures, cultural spaces are consolidating as climate refuges. Balloon Museum presents itself as an attractive option with its immersive exhibition 'Euphoяia – Art is in the Air', an experience that fuses contemporary art, participation, and entertainment for all audiences.
Located at the Escenario Puerta del Ángel in Casa de Campo, the exhibition will be open until September 6. It features 14 large-format installations created by international artists such as Philippe Parreno, Martin Creed, Karina Smigla-Bobinski, Rafael Lozano-Hemmer, A.A. Murakami, SpY, Camille Walala, and Hyperstudio.
Unlike a traditional museum visit, 'Euphoяia' invites visitors to interact with the works, move through them, and become active participants. The approximately hour-and-a-half tour offers a multisensory journey where play, exploration, and creativity are central.
Among the highlighted pieces are Philippe Parreno's 'My Room is Another Fishbowl', with inflatable fish floating freely; Martin Creed's 'WORK NO. 3883: Half the air in a given space', a room filled with balloons challenging spatial perception; and Rafael Lozano-Hemmer's 'Pulse Topology', an installation of thousands of light bulbs replicating visitors' heartbeats.
Other proposals include Camille Walala's colorful labyrinth 'Follow Me, I Think I Know the Way'; 'Ovoids' by Spanish artist SpY; A.A. Murakami's 'New Spring', featuring a tree generating fog bubbles; and Hyperstudio's sensory universe 'Hyperstellar'.
The exhibition breaks down traditional barriers between artwork and spectator, promoting a new approach to contemporary art through interaction, emotion, and experimentation. The use of inflatable material reflects on current society, creative freedom, and the transformation of spaces.
After attracting over seven million visitors in cities like New York, London, Paris, Rome, and Barcelona, Balloon Museum arrives in Madrid with a proposal that combines culture and leisure in an indoor setting.
From June 22, the exhibition will extend its hours, open daily from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, positioning itself as a prominent cultural and family plan for the summer season in the capital.
Balloon Museum, an initiative by Lux Entertainment founded in Italy in 2021, has established itself as one of the most successful traveling exhibitions worldwide, with over eight million visitors and a presence in 23 international cities.
