The President of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, convenes her Government this Tuesday, April 7, at the Santillana Residence in Manzanares El Real to establish the strategic guidelines for the final year of the legislature and strengthen regional public services.

The meeting, the second of 2026, will focus on reviewing ongoing projects such as the Health City, the Madrid Justice City, and the Plan Vive housing program. It will also analyze the recent funding agreement with the six public universities of Madrid and the progress of works on the Madrid Metro network, as well as in Madrid's public health and education sectors.
Another crucial item on the agenda is the analysis of risks stemming from excessive state regulation that could affect the competitiveness of Data Processing Centers. Furthermore, the effects of the Iran War on the Madrid economy and the initial steps for the region's new General Budgets for 2027 will be discussed.

The Community of Madrid continues to advance towards full employment and attract more international investments while continuing to reduce its debt and expand its tax cuts.

The meeting will also address the consequences for regional accounts due to the absence of State General Budgets since 2023 and the risks that the central government's autonomous community financing model poses for all Autonomous Communities. Finally, topics such as the upcoming visit of Pope Leo XIV to the region and preparations for Hispanidad 2026, with the United States as the guest country, will be covered.
