The initiative, on display until July 19, features a large-format anamorphic illustration (97.2 m2) painted on the pavement. This technique creates a powerful optical illusion, inviting visitors to interact and share the experience via their mobile devices.
The artwork depicts a large sinkhole with floating spheres illustrating the proportion between the Earth's total water volume and the amount available for human consumption, emphasizing its value and scarcity.
The installation includes explanatory elements and signage to enhance public interaction, blending urban art, scientific knowledge, and environmental awareness. It also aims to spread the message on social media using the hashtags #PlanetaAgua and #CadaGotaCuenta.
Through this initiative, the Canal Foundation reinforces its commitment to environmental outreach with innovative formats. Choosing Puerta del Sol, a key meeting point in the capital, aims to transform it into a space for reflection on the care of this vital resource.
