The Colegio Amanecer in Alcorcón celebrates a new academic success. For the sixth consecutive year, all of its 2nd-year Baccalaureate students who took the 2026 University Access Test (PAU) have passed. Notably, Elena Serna, a student at the school, achieved the second-highest score in the entire Community of Madrid with a 13.98, and the top mark at Rey Juan Carlos University.
This result brings great joy to the educational community, reflecting the combined effort of students, teachers, and families. Elena Serna described the score as a "great reward for the effort made" during her Baccalaureate studies. "It's a huge experience, especially seeing your work and effort from the whole year, and generally these two years of Baccalaureate, be rewarded. So, I'm very happy," stated the student, who plans to study Aeronautical Engineering.
The student acknowledged that while it was "a year of much study," the PAU turned out better than expected. "I thought I would struggle more. I am very self-critical about grades, but I managed it quite well. If you organize yourself, you can achieve anything," she explained. She learned the happy news during her end-of-year trip to Mallorca with her classmates.
Colegio Amanecer thus reaffirms its commitment to quality education. The 100% pass rate for the sixth consecutive year and the second-highest score in Madrid are a source of pride for the institution. Of the 72 students who took the 2026 PAU, 87% passed, exceeding the average for the Community of Madrid. Additionally, an average of 15% of students scored above 13, and nearly half achieved a score of 12 or higher.
