The Community of Madrid has announced the opening of the application period for grants for Early Childhood Education, which will benefit approximately 34,000 families and involve an investment of 67.3 million euros.

The deadline to submit documentation for this aid, part of the upcoming 2026/27 academic year, will be until June 8. Interested parties can complete the process through the Community of Madrid's institutional portal and the Digital Account.
The grants are aimed at children born or expected to be born before January 1, 2027, who are enrolled or have a reserved place in authorized private centers and do not occupy publicly funded places. The aid amounts will range from 177 to 283 euros per month, depending on family income.
Bidding criteria include points for parents' employment status, with 7 points for both working full-time and 5 points for part-time. Large families, cases of disability in parents or children, and victims of violence against women will also be considered. Children over 3 years old with accredited special educational needs and those who received grants in the 2025/26 academic year may also be eligible under certain conditions.
Digital processing through the Digital Account offers significant improvements, including a single form for all minors in the family unit, a renewal option with a pre-filled form, automatic identification of required documentation, and contextual help to guide families.
With this initiative, the Madrid government aims to enhance families' freedom of choice, promote work-life balance, and foster equal opportunities during a non-compulsory educational stage.
