The Velilla de San Antonio City Council has launched its activity program for seniors, with an open house at the Meeting Space for Seniors that brought together approximately 150 users.

The presentation of the comprehensive activity program for the elderly took place yesterday at the Meeting Space for Seniors. Attendees had the opportunity to tour the facilities, which include a computer lab, hairdresser, physiotherapy room, offices, petanque courts, and outdoor exercise equipment.
Actress Amaia Vargas, star of the theatrical comedy La Portera Nacional, hosted the event. The play will be performed on October 23rd at the Mariana Pineda auditorium.
The mayor of Velilla de San Antonio, Antonia Alcázar, emphasized the importance of providing quality facilities and an ambitious program to ensure active aging, calling the space "the heart of their daily lives".
The program includes educational workshops such as Computer Skills, Mobile Phone Management, and Yoga, as well as recreational and cultural activities like Theater and Music Therapy. Sessions in English, Memory Workshop, Spanish Sign Language (LSE), health talks, video forums, bingo, drawing, and a book club will also be offered.
Activities will take place at the Senior Center of the Mejorada-Velilla Commonwealth and at the Meeting Space itself, with varied schedules throughout the week and month.
