The Local Police of San Fernando de Henares has launched a new school transport inspection campaign, focused on ensuring student safety during excursions.

The Family and Minors Unit (UFAME) of the Local Police of San Fernando de Henares has initiated a new edition of the school transport inspection program. This initiative, carried out at the request of educational centers, focuses on student excursions requiring bus services, particularly for trips outside the municipality.
Before each trip, officers conduct alcohol and drug tests on the driver, verify vehicle documentation, and check internal safety equipment such as fire extinguishers. The Councillor for Security, Leticia Martín, highlighted that "during the past academic year, over a hundred interventions were carried out without any incidents, with the objective of maximizing safety during these types of journeys".
This morning, one such inspection took place at the CEIP Jarama, which was on an excursion to La Pedriza. The UFAME, a recently created specialized department, reinforces social protection, especially for children and adolescents, acting preventively and through various programs impacting over 3,000 schoolchildren.
