Residents of Torrejón de Ardoz can enjoy the municipal swimming pools until August 30th. The facilities retain the same prices as in previous years and feature the unique distinction of being Spain's only municipal wave pool.
The opening hours have been extended, now closing at 9:00 PM, half an hour later than the previous season, and also opening half an hour later. Users have access to three pools at the Juan Antonio Samaranch Sports Complex (one children's, one indoor, and one wave pool) and three at the Ciudad Deportiva Blume (one children's, one 25-meter, and one Olympic-sized).
The option for reduced entry from 6:00 PM onwards remains, offering a 50% discount on the stipulated price. Additionally, there are guest passes for 5 swims available for 25 euros, exclusively for registered residents of Torrejón, providing more economical entry for their visitors from other cities.
Unemployed residents registered in Torrejón and unemployed for at least six months can enter for a reduced price of 1.20 euros. Mayor Alejandro Navarro Prieto highlighted that prices have been kept consistent throughout the term without increases, offering numerous benefits for residents to enjoy.
280,000 euros have been invested in improving the facilities. Renovations include a new bottom and public address system for the Wave Pool, new showers in the beach area, sand and vinyl renewal, painting of facades and interiors, and the planting of natural grass along the Cipreses promenade at the Juan Antonio Samaranch Sports Complex.
The mayor recalled that the municipal pools, renovated for optimal maintenance, along with the Wave Pool, are part of an extensive leisure offering by the Torrejón de Ardoz City Council, which includes shows, summer cinema, and special days at regional theme parks.
Users with the ADM card can enter for free. Tickets, which can be purchased online in advance (3 days for ADM, 2 days for other citizens), are also available in person at the pools themselves.
