The municipal pools in Torrejón de Ardoz are open until August 30th with extended hours and frozen rates, maintaining benefits for residents and the unemployed.

Residents of Torrejón de Ardoz can enjoy the municipal swimming pools until August 30th. The facilities are keeping last year's prices, with an entry fee of 1.20 euros for unemployed residents of Torrejón. Notably, the complex includes Spain's only municipal wave pool. The operating hours have been extended, now closing at 9:00 PM, half an hour later than before.
The Juan Antonio Samaranch Sports Complex offers three pools: one for children, one indoor, and the wave pool. Meanwhile, the Blume Sports City has three more pools: a children's pool, a 25-meter pool, and an Olympic-sized pool. Mayor Alejandro Navarro confirmed the schedule change was made in response to public requests.
ADM cardholders have free access. Tickets, which can be purchased online in advance (3 days for ADM, 2 days for others), require presenting a DNI or proof of residency for those registered in Torrejón. From 6:00 PM onwards, a 50% discount is applied to all ticket types. Five-bath passes are also available for 25 euros for guests of registered residents.
A reduced entry fee of 1.20 euros is maintained for unemployed individuals registered in Torrejón who have been unemployed for at least six months. The mayor highlighted the commitment to keeping prices stable throughout the current term.
An investment of 280,000 euros has been made to improve the facilities. New features include a renovated pool bottom and public address system in the Wave Pool, new showers in the beach area, and updated sand and vinyl elements in the glassed-in zone. Facades and interiors have been repainted, and natural grass has been planted along the Cypress walkway at the Juan Antonio Samaranch Sports Complex.
The mayor recalled that the municipal pools are being maintained in excellent condition and emphasized the appeal of the Wave Pool as part of the leisure offerings provided by the Torrejón de Ardoz City Council, which also includes events like the Fountain Show, Veranearte, Summer Cinema, and Special Days at regional theme parks.
