The asphalt renovation works on Juan Carlos Onetti and Nicolás Guillén streets, in the El Ensanche neighborhood of Alcalá de Henares, have concluded after an investment of over 235,000 euros.

These works, part of the ‘Alcalá mejora sus barrios’ Plan, aim to increase road safety, circulation comfort, and accessibility, while also contributing to reducing traffic noise and emissions.
The investment is part of the plan promoted by Judith Piquet's Government to modernize the city's public spaces. The mayor, accompanied by the president of District IV, Antonio Saldaña, visited the results of the work.
The project included adapting parking spaces reserved for people with reduced mobility (PMR) to current regulations, incorporating their corresponding signage and approach zones.
Additionally, where road conditions allowed, the arrangement of angled parking spaces has been modified for vehicles to exit in the direction of travel, thereby improving maneuver safety and driver visibility.
