The Paracuellos de Jarama City Council has launched a drawing contest for minors in the municipality to design the official bookmark for the VI Book Fair, which will take place from May 8 to 10 on Urano Street.

This initiative aims to involve young people in one of the most established cultural events in the town. Submissions can be sent via email until April 20, 2026, offering participants the chance to see their creation distributed among fair attendees.
The contest is open to all minors in Paracuellos de Jarama and is divided into three categories, covering Early Childhood, Primary, and Secondary Education. This ensures the participation of children and young people of various ages, allowing them to leave their mark on the literary celebration.
To participate, each contestant must create a drawing on the back of a specific bookmark template, available in the contest rules. This document must be downloaded, completed, and submitted without altering its original format. Students from Paracuellos de Jarama should represent what they like most or consider most representative of their school, while minors not enrolled in the municipality can draw their favorite spot in Paracuellos de Jarama.
It is important to note that the participant's name should not appear on the bookmark, although it is recommended to include the name of the school or the place represented. The submission deadline is April 20, 2026, and drawings must be sent to the email address cultura@paracuellosdejarama.es, with ‘Marcapáginas’ (Bookmarks) in the subject line.
The VI Book Fair of Paracuellos de Jarama, scheduled from May 8 to 10 on Urano Street, is a deeply rooted cultural event in the municipality. The winning bookmark will become a distinctive and visible element of the fair, distributed among all attendees throughout the three-day event.
