This initiative, the first of its kind in Coslada, cross-references collection data with sociodemographic variables such as population density and consumption. The goal is to identify areas with the greatest potential for improvement in glass recycling, allowing for more focused and effective action.
The areas selected for this initial intervention include the zone between Chile Street and Luis Braille Street, the axis formed by León Felipe Street and Avenida de la Constitución, as well as the entire influence area of the Barrio del Puerto. It is estimated that the campaign will impact over 5,100 households, benefiting approximately 13,700 residents.
“"It is essential that we become aware of recycling and its advantages. In this framework, new technologies and artificial intelligence offer us very interesting options with results that will undoubtedly benefit us."
The campaign includes sending informative letters to households in the selected areas, followed by visits from environmental education teams. These teams will provide detailed information, answer questions, and distribute special bags to facilitate the separation of glass waste at home.
Additionally, strategic points will be identified for conducting street-level information campaigns, reinforcing the message about the importance of glass packaging recycling for the environment and the sustainable future of Coslada.
