The mayor of Arganda, Alberto Escribano, signed this Wednesday, November 5, the contract for the largest resurfacing plan in the municipality's old town history, with an investment of 1,481,539.86 euros.

The contract, awarded to the company Trabajos Bituminosos, S.L., includes the paving and repaving of more than 77 streets in the historic area, such as Lavadero, Velázquez, Ronda del Olivar, Comuneros de Castilla, Nuestra Señora de la Esperanza, or Clavellinas. Many of these roads had no prior asphalt or had not received any repairs for decades.
Also present at the contract signing were Olga Ortega, representative of Trabajos Bituminosos S.L., and Francisco de Paula, Councilor for Maintenance of the Arganda City Council.
This plan, which also includes the resurfacing of the service roads of Avenida de Madrid, was one of the key points of the Municipal Budget 2026 agreed upon by PP and Vox. The works will commence in the coming weeks.
