The Local Government Board has approved the landscaping project for the surroundings of the Villa Romana del Val, an action that is part of the 'Parques con Vida' plan and will have an investment of approximately 600,000 euros.
The Councilor for the Environment, Vicente Pérez, explained that the objective is to create a new green space for citizens' enjoyment, integrating the archaeological remains into the environmental recovery of the area.
The project includes the creation of green areas, paths, the planting of tree and shrub vegetation, improvement of accessibility, installation of urban furniture, lighting, and an irrigation system.
This initiative is part of the comprehensive plan 'Alcalá mejora sus barrios' and the 'Parques con Vida' project, which has a total investment of over 10 million euros. This plan covers 14 spaces throughout the city, making it the most ambitious green space development in the last 25 years.
