The Brotherhood of Rocío of Alcalá de Henares has announced the celebration of its XXXVII Rociero Proclamation next Saturday, April 25th, at 8:00 PM, a pivotal event that initiates the preparations for the Rocío Pilgrimage 2026.

The ceremony will take place at the Convent of the RR.MM. Clarisas de Nuestra Señora de la Esperanza, commonly known as ‘las Claras’, located in the historical center of the Complutense city. Rocío devotees, followers, and residents are expected to gather to share in this deeply rooted tradition of the Brotherhood.
As part of the celebration, the official poster announcing the Departure of Pilgrims will be unveiled. This artwork, created by Paloma Santos Rodríguez, a sister of the Brotherhood, symbolizes the visible beginning of the journey to the village and captures the Rocío sentiment of the corporation.
The proclamation will be delivered by Javier Esteban Pérez, president of the Brotherhood of Rocío of San Sebastián de los Reyes, who will offer a personal and spiritual journey through the Rocío experience. The introduction of the speaker will be handled by María Gallego Lazo, secretary of the Brotherhood of Rocío of Valverde del Camino.
The event will also feature the participation of the Choir of the Brotherhood of Rocío of Alcalá de Henares, which will lend its voice and emotion to a ceremony that grows in attendance and symbolism each year. The Rociero Proclamation is one of the most anticipated moments in the Brotherhood's calendar, serving as a meeting point and emotional kick-off for the preparations for the journey to Pentecost.
The Brotherhood invites all citizens to attend this public event, which combines tradition, faith, and community in an atmosphere characteristic of the Rocío spirit.
