Alcalá de Henares Prepares for its XLIII Book Fair in Plaza de Cervantes

This year's edition, running from April 17 to May 3, will feature 27 entities and 37 stands.

Plaza de Cervantes in Alcalá de Henares will host the XLIII Book Fair from April 17 to May 3, solidifying its position as a key cultural event in the region with a wide literary offering and author encounters.

This year, the fair will see the participation of 27 entities related to the book industry, coming from various locations such as Alcalá de Henares, Madrid, Fuenlabrada, Leganés, Villalbilla, Móstoles, Alcorcón, Cantabria, and Alicante. These entities will occupy a total of 37 stands, spanning 110 linear meters of exhibition space.
Among the confirmed participants are eleven bookstores, eight publishing houses, six writers' associations, the Alcalá de Henares City Council itself, and the Editorial Universidad de Alcalá, ensuring a diverse representation of the literary landscape.
Over the 17-day event, visitors can enjoy a varied program including book sales, new release presentations, author signing sessions, and various activities designed to promote reading among all age groups. Organizers anticipate a large public turnout, reaffirming the fair's importance in the cultural calendar of the Community of Madrid.
