The Plaza de Cervantes in Alcalá de Henares is preparing to host the XLIII New Book Fair, a cultural event scheduled from April 17 to May 3, 2025, offering an extensive literary program and author encounters.

This edition, already a fixture in the cultural calendar of the Community of Madrid, will coincide with Cervantes' April and will feature an attractive promotion called 'Libro x liro' (Book for a Pound), allowing visitors to receive a free book with each purchase.
The fair will see the participation of 27 entities related to the book industry, coming from various locations such as Alcalá de Henares, Madrid, Fuenlabrada, Leganés, Villalbilla, Móstoles, Alcorcón, Cantabria, and Alicante. These entities will occupy a total of 37 stands, spread across 110 linear meters of exhibition space.
Among the participants are eleven bookstores, eight publishing houses, six writers' associations, the Alcalá de Henares City Council itself, and the University of Alcalá Publishing House. Over the 17 days, the public will be able to enjoy a diverse literary offering, including book sales, presentations, book signings, and activities designed to promote reading among all ages.
The Plaza de Cervantes, an emblematic place closely linked to Cervantine culture, will once again be the setting for this annual event dedicated to books and reading, where attendees can benefit from special discounts. The fair has experienced continuous growth since its inception, enriching the city's cultural heritage.
