The Magistral Cathedral of Alcalá de Henares will host the thirteenth edition of the International Organ Festival, a series of free concerts running from April 25 to May 23, under the artistic direction of Liudmila Matsyura.

The official presentation of the festival took place on April 15 at the Education Department, attended by various local and university authorities. Among those present were Dolores López, Councillor for Education and University; Santiago Alonso, Councillor for Culture; Víctor Cobo, Councillor for District I; Juan Miguel Prim, Episcopal Delegate for the Evangelization of Culture; Esperanza Gutiérrez Redondo, Vice-Rector for Institutional Relations, Social Responsibility and Culture at the University of Alcalá; and the festival's artistic director, Liudmila Matsyura.
This concert series, held at the Holy and Illustrious Magistral Cathedral of Alcalá de Henares, will feature performances every Saturday at 9:00 PM, with an additional show on Sunday, May 3, at 5:00 PM. Admission will be free until full capacity is reached, offering a unique opportunity to enjoy organ music.

Thanks to the collaboration of the Tourism and Culture departments of the Alcalá de Henares City Council, the Complutense Bishopric, and the University of Alcalá, the Blancafort organ will be tuned in the coming days so that residents and visitors of Alcalá can enjoy performances by internationally renowned artists.

The festival, which was revived in 2024 through the joint efforts of the Complutense Bishopric and the Tourism Department, solidifies its continuity this year with the inclusion of the Culture Department and the University of Alcalá. This inter-institutional collaboration ensures the fine-tuning of the Blancafort organ, a key instrument for the quality of the performances.
The program includes prominent organists from Central and Eastern Europe, as well as Spain. Confirmed artists include Gábaro Szotyori Nagy (Hungary) on April 25, Ignace Michiels (Belgium) on May 2, Felipe López Pérez on May 3, Liudmila Matsyura herself (Russia-Spain) on May 9, Willibald Guggenmos (Germany) on May 16, and Andrés Uibo (Estonia) on May 23.
