The City Council of Alcalá de Henares has approved a budget allocation of 6,000 euros to support those affected by the recent earthquakes in Venezuela.

The measure, ratified by the local Government Board, aims to contribute to the humanitarian response to the emergency. The funds will be managed through the Department of Citizen Participation and District to address the most urgent needs of the affected population.
This institutional action follows previous gestures of solidarity by the municipality. On June 29, the City Council held a minute of silence at its headquarters, in response to the call by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP) in support of the Venezuelan people.
