The Community of Madrid kicks off its Theater in Fairs season with the performance of 'La Pasión Infinita' at the Teatro Salón Cervantes. The play, which will be reprised this Saturday, August 22nd, was attended by the Councilor for Culture, Santiago Alonso.
The plot follows José Antonio, a man who dreams of becoming an actor despite lacking talent. His pursuit of fame leads him into a bizarre theatrical adventure where reality and spectacle blur, resulting in a tragicomedy filled with humor and tenderness.
On Sunday, August 23rd, the Alcalá Comedy Show will present two performances (7:00 PM and 9:30 PM) featuring four comedians linked to the city: Juan Zurdo, Edu Manzanera, Sara Drama, and Joseph Ewonde. Produced by Alcalá Me Mata, the show offers a series of monologues packed with irony and everyday humor.
The company Yllana will present 'GOOL' on August 26th and 27th at 9:00 PM. This visual and gestural show, directed by David Ottone and Fidel Fernández, offers a lighthearted satire on the world of football, exploring fan passion, economic interests, rivalries, and the contradictions of a global phenomenon.
On August 28th, 'Canadá' premieres, a comedy written by Alícia Serrat and directed by Borja Rodríguez. The play places the President of the Government in the difficult task of recording an urgent message to citizens while a meteorite threatens to destroy the planet, turning a solemn institutional speech into a series of absurd and amusing situations.
The final act will be on August 29th and 30th with 'Mejor no decirlo', a comedy starring Imanol Arias and María Barranco. Written by Salomé Lelouch and directed by Claudio Tolcachir, the play poses the uncomfortable question of what would happen if a couple decided to tell each other absolutely everything after years of living together.
