The Department of Education in Alcalá de Henares has organized the 'Te doy mi palabra' initiative for Book Day, fostering reading and written expression among Early Childhood and Primary students.

Twenty educational centers in Alcalá de Henares have participated in this proposal, where each school presented a unique project based on a word chosen by its community. Students reflected on the meaning and reason for their selection, complementing their ideas with illustrations.
The councilor for Education presided over the institutional event, where the projects were unveiled, and representatives from each center publicly presented their chosen word. Each school received recognition along with a batch of books for their school library.

"Te doy mi palabra is thus consolidated as an initiative that promotes participation, creativity, and a love for reading among young people, reinforcing the role of education as a cultural driver in Alcalá de Henares."

These choices reflect the centers' commitment to values education and creativity.
All projects will be published on the City Council's website and social media, coinciding with the celebration of Book Day, to give visibility to the effort and involvement of the educational community.
