The Paracuellos de Jarama City Council has announced the opening of the enrollment period for its early music initiation programs, aimed at the youngest residents of the municipality. Families interested in their children taking their first steps into the world of music have one week to submit their applications.
A total of twelve places are available, divided into two specific groups. Six of these places are for the Early Musical Initiation I program, designed for children born in 2024. The other six are for the Music and Movement I program, intended for those born in 2022. Both initiatives aim to introduce music to children through play, rhythm, and movement.
The application process is straightforward and conducted via email. Interested parties must complete the corresponding form and send it to escuela.musica@paracuellosdejarama.es. It is crucial to indicate in the email subject the program being applied for (‘Solicitud de plaza Mca. y Mvto. I’ or ‘Iniciación Musical Temprana I’) followed by the student's name for proper management.
The deadline is short, only one week, so it is advisable not to leave it until the last moment. Applications received outside the established period —from April 7 to April 14— will not be able to participate in the draw for place allocation.
Given the limited number of places, allocation will be made through a public draw. This event will take place on Tuesday, April 28, at 6:30 PM at the headquarters of the Municipal Music School, located at Calle Valencia s/n in Paracuellos de Jarama. The procedure ensures transparency, by drawing a random number and assigning places in ascending order, as well as creating a waiting list.
The Municipal Music School of Paracuellos de Jarama has established itself as a valuable educational and cultural resource, promoting musical sensitivity and the comprehensive development of children from early childhood. Its programs not only seek musical training but also stimulate cognitive, emotional, and social development through interaction with sound, songs, and movement.
