The municipality of Paracuellos de Jarama is preparing to host the Nations Fair next Sunday, April 12, an event that will transform the Plazas de la Cultura building into a meeting point for the diverse cultures coexisting in the town.

This initiative, promoted by the Paracuellos de Jarama City Council, aims to celebrate the rich cultural contributions of the nearly 4,000 foreign citizens residing in the municipality, representing close to 90 nationalities. The fair seeks to foster coexistence and mutual learning through a shared space for leisure and education.
The day will officially begin at 10:15 AM with the event's presentation, attended by Jesús Muñoz, mayor of Paracuellos de Jarama, and Natalia Pérez, councilor for Citizen Participation and Festivities. This inaugural act underscores institutional support for an event designed to strengthen community ties in a festive and family-friendly atmosphere.
From 10:45 AM, attendees can enjoy the first capoeira exhibition, a Brazilian martial art combining dance and music, with additional sessions at 11:45 AM and 1:15 PM. At 11:00 AM, the ‘Venezuela Danza y Tambor’ show will fill the venue with energy and color through Caribbean sounds. For children, at 12:00 PM, there will be a theatrical storytelling session titled ‘Un mundo de cuentos’ by Alicia Cuenteando, and a children's workshop ‘Exploradores del mundo’.
The heart of the fair will be the various stalls representing countries such as Morocco, Romania, Venezuela, Cuba, Germany, and Brazil. These stands will offer an immersion into their cultures, with a special focus on international gastronomy, regional costumes, and typical attire, allowing visitors to taste dishes and learn about traditions from different parts of the world.
