The Móstoles City Council held its ordinary plenary session for October, approving two institutional declarations to recognize the work of volunteers in senior centers and on the occasion of the International Day of Older Persons.

During the session, the Council agreed to join the initiative of the Federation of Municipalities of Madrid to value the important work of volunteers in municipal and Community of Madrid senior centers, who improve the quality of life and well-being of older adults.
Likewise, an institutional declaration was approved for the International Day of Older Persons, reaffirming the council's commitment to the well-being and rights of this group, and advocating that "all people deserve to age with dignity, affection, and support".
Motions related to public education, the Grandchildren's Law, the implementation of a preferential attention health card for people with support needs, and a Plan for shade and renaturalization of schoolyards were also approved.
The Councilor for Economy, Industry, Employment, Development, and Tourism Promotion, Ángeles García, appeared to report on the management of Móstoles Desarrollo.
Other debated motions included the mobilization of empty housing, the promotion of non-profit housing cooperatives, and the municipal application of the Protected Housing Law.
