The closing ceremony of the Public Employment and Training Program for Senior Professional Qualification, an initiative designed to enhance participants' professional skills, was attended by the mayoress of Getafe, Sara Hernández. This project has enabled attendees to train in high-demand specialties and apply their knowledge within various municipal services.
The program's model merges training specialization with direct professional performance in municipal administration job roles. Over the ten months, participants have developed new competencies adapted to current market demands, gained verifiable work experience, and learned about the internal workings of Getafe's municipal services, thereby enhancing their employability.
The program was structured into three key areas for the city's public services: Ordinances, focused on support functions and general services; Auxiliaries, concentrating on administrative and organizational skills; and Gardening, aimed at the maintenance and improvement of green spaces and municipal areas. Each track ensured theoretical-practical learning tailored to the specific needs of each professional sector.
To ensure the initiative's success, the program included the hiring of teachers and technical professionals to guide the students throughout their training. Their continuous support connected classroom learning with daily practice in municipal services, fostering the development and confidence of each participant. The ALEF of Getafe thus reaffirms its commitment to employment and training, promoting opportunities for citizens.
