The Councilor for Housing, Gema Cáceres, highlighted the investment in modernizing the city and improving residents' quality of life, particularly in neighborhoods with buildings over 45 years old.
The line of aid for elevator installation has €225,000 and is intended for buildings with three or more stories whose works were completed between January 1 and December 31, 2025. The maximum aid is €35,000 per elevator, covering 21% of the cost. Elevators that have already received public aid are excluded.
Furthermore, the aid line for energy rehabilitation of the building envelope, endowed with €200,000, focuses on facades and roofs. It may include electricity generation for self-consumption on collective residential building roofs and aims to reduce buildings' energy demand, offering up to 25% aid, with a maximum of €40,000.
Regarding the subsidies for housing rehabilitation convened in the first half of the year, a notable increase in applications has been observed. There was a 300% rise in internal wall insulation for energy efficiency, a 185% increase for window replacements, and an 86% increase for accessibility improvement works.
This call has facilitated greater access for residents by including aid for works to be executed, increased dissemination in civic centers, workshops, and information provided by the Healthy Homes team, as well as thanks to the simplification of the call bases.
