The incident unfolded around 3:15 PM when a man alerted emergency services after entering his daughter's home and finding it in apparent disarray, initially suggesting a possible robbery.
Upon arriving at the residence, officers from the Citizen Assistance Group located the deceased woman. A knife, appearing to have bloodstains, was also found inside the property.
Personnel from the Violent Crimes Unit of Scientific Police and the Homicide Group VI have been dispatched to the scene to take charge of the investigation and determine the exact circumstances of the event.
This incident occurs just hours after another similar case in Madrid's Arganzuela district, where a 47-year-old woman was found dead in her home with signs of strangulation. For this second case, the police have arrested an 85-year-old man, identified as the victim's former father-in-law.
