The San Isidro neighborhood in Getafe is gearing up for its annual festivities, taking place from May 14th to 17th, offering a wide array of activities for the entire family at San Isidro Park.

The celebrations, organized by the neighborhood's Fiestas Committee, will feature food stalls, an art market, live music, and a prominent gastronomic selection. The program officially kicks off on Friday with the opening speech by the San Isidro Neighborhood Association, commemorating its 50th anniversary.
Throughout the weekend, attendees can enjoy a chocolate breakfast, traditional workshops and games for children, paella, 'caldereta' stew, and lemonade. A remote-controlled car race and gymnastics sessions for all ages are also planned. Evenings will be enlivened with a mobile disco.
The Getafe GetArt Artisans Association will be present on Friday afternoon and all day Saturday, showcasing their creations. Additionally, a 'punto violeta' (safe space) will be set up on Friday and Saturday, from 9:00 PM to 2:00 AM, to ensure a safe and aggression-free environment.
Sunday, May 17th, the final day of the festivities, will include workshops, games, sports, a foam party, paella tasting, raffles, sangria, and the popular 'migas manchegas'. Live music will close the event with the San Isidro Rock concert at 7:00 PM.
Neighborhood festivities in Getafe will continue throughout the summer. In June, celebrations will take place in La Alhóndiga (from the 11th to 14th), Juan de la Cierva (from the 18th to 21st), and Getafe Norte (from the 25th to 28th). In July, it will be the turn of Buenavista (from the 2nd to 5th), Perales del Río (from the 16th to 19th), and El Bercial (from the 23rd to 26th). After the holidays, the festivities will conclude in Las Margaritas and Los Molinos (from the 10th to 13th of September), and in Sector III (from the 17th to 20th of September).
