The Getafe City Council has announced that the sixth edition of its Guest Country program will be dedicated to China in April 2027, combining cultural activities with an economic forum.

The initiative seeks to strengthen ties between both parties by promoting the artistic and gastronomic wealth of the Asian country. Furthermore, the project aims to consolidate Getafe as a reference point for cultural exchange and the development of new business opportunities.
As part of this edition, a business meeting will be organized, bringing together institutions and companies from both territories. The main objective is to foster foreign investment and strengthen trade relations, leveraging the strategic location and industrial fabric of the Madrid municipality.
The Guest Country program, which has previously featured nations such as Romania, Colombia, Poland, Cuba, and Morocco, has established itself as a municipal tool to bring cultural diversity closer to local citizens.
