The project, managed by the Department of Sustainability, Environment and Public Space, has a budget of 920,000 euros. The works, scheduled over nine months, focus on improving accessibility, installing shade zones, and renewing safety flooring throughout the municipality.
In the Vivero-Hospital-Universidad district, improvements include updated signage and diversified space usage. Meanwhile, on Madroño Street, the city's first Ninja-style circuit is being installed for teenagers, while a nearby area is being converted into an open communal space for residents.
The Avanzada-La Cueva district is also seeing significant changes. On Callao Street, a former playground is being transformed into a health-focused area for seniors, emphasizing mobility and gentle exercise. Additionally, on America Avenue, a comprehensive renovation is underway, featuring inclusive equipment such as climbing structures and accessible spinning elements.
The construction schedule expects most interventions to be completed by the first half of October. Through these efforts, the council aims to provide more comfortable and versatile environments that meet the specific demands of each urban area.
