Fuenlabrada is gearing up to host a new edition of the Senior Citizens' Festival, an event expected to gather around 3,000 elderly individuals at the municipal pool. The day, organized by the Department for Senior Citizens with support from local entities, aims to provide a day of enjoyment and community.
The program will kick off at 10:00 AM with a performance by a charanga band from the Ramón Rubial center and a zumba class. Following this, Mayor Javier Ayala and the Councilor for Senior Citizens, Ana Pérez, will officially welcome attendees before the main concert.
The musical group Los Diablos will be the main auditory attraction of the morning, while in the afternoon, starting at 4:30 PM, the orchestra Fashion will liven up the festivities with music for dancing.
“"The objective of this annual festival is for the senior citizens of Fuenlabrada to have a day of enjoyment, fun, and well-being in a festive atmosphere and in a pleasant outdoor location like the municipal pool."
To facilitate attendance for all participants, the City Council has arranged a special free transportation service. EMTF buses will increase their frequency every thirty minutes between 9:30 AM and 12:30 PM for trips to the municipal pool. The return service will operate with the same frequency reinforcement between 6:30 PM and 8:30 PM.
This initiative solidifies the municipal commitment to the leisure and social integration of the city's senior citizens, reinforcing the event as a benchmark in the activity calendar for this group in Fuenlabrada.
