The Fuenlabrada City Council has launched a new call for aid for entrepreneurship and local businesses, raising the maximum subsidy amount to 2,500 euros.

Starting or keeping a business afloat can be a significant economic challenge, particularly due to investments in technology, equipment, or initial setup costs. To ease this burden, the Fuenlabrada City Council has opened a new subsidy program aimed at both new entrepreneurs and established businesses within the city.
This initiative, managed by the Center for Training and Employment Initiatives (CIFE), has a budget of 100,000 euros for this year. A key highlight is the increase in the maximum aid, which rises from 2,000 euros last year to the current 2,500 euros, aiming to boost local economic activity and modernize the business landscape.
The subsidies are available for companies established since 2017 and for new business projects created from 2023 onwards. The funds can cover a wide array of expenses, including website design, market research, software applications, vehicle rentals, machinery purchase or rental, and improvements in energy efficiency. Costs related to the establishment and launch of new economic activities are also eligible.
The call allows for the financing of up to 80% of duly justified expenses, with a minimum amount of 600 euros and a maximum of 2,500 euros per beneficiary. The deadline to submit applications electronically through the municipal Electronic Office is June 29.
Since its inception in 2018, this support program has assisted approximately 1,200 companies, self-employed individuals, and entrepreneurs, mobilizing around 1.8 million euros. These grants are in addition to the extraordinary aid provided during 2020 and 2021 to mitigate the economic impact of the pandemic.

"These subsidies are part of a broader strategy to support local economic activity, based on direct aid, specialized training, and business development initiatives."

The Councilor for Employment, Javier Bokesa, emphasized that these grants are integral to the City Council's ongoing strategy to strengthen Fuenlabrada's productive sector through various support initiatives.
