The Real Aranjuez Club de Fútbol is consolidating itself as a key sports entity in Aranjuez, projecting the municipality's name in the competitions it participates in. The link between local heritage, identity, and sport is seen as an opportunity to strengthen external promotion and foster a sense of belonging.
This year, the club has achieved promotion to the 3rd Division, a milestone that once again makes history for Real Aranjuez C.F. In light of this, the municipal group Más Madrid has proposed a collaboration agreement to the Aranjuez City Council's Plenary. The objective is for the Council to promote the 'Regálate Aranjuez' image on the team's kit during their matches this season.
Furthermore, the Cortefiel logistics platform has been highlighted as a critical point in Aranjuez. Since its commencement of operations in mid-2008, the facility has presented numerous deficiencies that, according to reports, have not been resolved by the City Council. Issues mentioned include a lack of lighting, poor asphalt conditions, absence of public transport, inadequate cleaning of the unpaved shoulders, and the lack of a cycle lane, rendering the stretch dangerous.
Daily, over 300 workers commute to this platform, a figure that increases to over 450 during campaign periods (winter and summer), which last six months annually. Some staff work night shifts. The danger is amplified for those commuting by bicycle, scooter, or on foot, particularly during low-light hours (5:30, 6:15, and 22:00 hours).
Given the City Council's inability to establish public transport to the roundabout, it is urged to adapt the roadways. It is emphasized that the problem at the Cortefiel platform, which has suffered these deficiencies for 18 years, requires an urgent solution to prevent tragedies. The implementation of minimal measures, such as creating a shoulder lane for bicycles, scooters, and pedestrians, is requested.
