The work will be carried out on September 9, 10, and 11, between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM. The campaign will focus on 35 municipal Phoenix canariensis specimens, as well as on other species located near infestation hotspots detected since 2023.
Citizens are reminded of the importance of respecting the treated areas. The treatment is localized and applied individually to each specimen, so no additional measures are required from residents.
As a reinforcement measure, 15 of these palm trees will receive an endotherapy treatment, which involves direct injection of a specific solution into the trunk for distribution through the plant's vascular system.
The council emphasizes that these actions are crucial for preserving the municipality's green heritage.
Furthermore, private palm tree owners are urged to report any detection of specimens affected by the Red Weevil. Information can be sent to the email address infraestructuraverde@aranjuez.es to improve the detection and control of this pest.
