The Aranjuez City Council has given the green light to the restoration and conditioning project for the emblematic bandstand located in the Glorieta del Clavel. This initiative, financed through the Regional Investment Program (PIR) of the Community of Madrid, has a budget of 144,391.16 euros and an estimated execution period of three months.
The project has a dual objective. Firstly, it will focus on the comprehensive restoration of the bandstand to address detected structural issues. Interventions will include work on the roof, ironwork, stairs, and exterior paving, as well as a complete renovation of the electrical installation and an upgrade to the public address system. The surface area of the upper level, intended for cultural and musical uses, will remain intact.
Secondly, the intervention will significantly improve the semi-basement floor. The area that previously housed the pumping equipment will be conditioned and connected to the existing lower space, creating a larger area of 62.34 square meters for the use of the neighborhood association.
“"With this intervention, the Aranjuez City Council recovers and enhances a characteristic element of the municipality, while also addressing neighborhood demands by providing the association with renovated, larger, and more functional facilities."
