The Aranjuez City Council has opened the registration period for its educational and family conciliation programs for the 2026-2027 academic year, which include extracurricular activities and Patios Abiertos.

The Aranjuez City Council, through the Department of Education, has initiated the registration process for a new edition of the programs 'Los Primeros del Cole' (The First Ones at School), 'Las Tardes en mi Cole' (Afternoons at My School), Extracurricular Activities, and Patios Abiertos (Open Playgrounds) for the 2026-2027 academic year. These initiatives aim to reinforce the municipal commitment to education, family conciliation, and the integral development of children and adolescents.
The programs offer families resources to facilitate work-life balance, providing students with educational, leisure, and coexistence spaces outside of school hours. The Extracurricular Activities will take place in schools such as CEIP San Fernando, CEIP San Isidro, CEIP Santa Teresa, CEIP Carlos III, CEIPSO Maestro Rodrigo, CEIP Vicente Aleixandre, CEIPSO San José de Calasanz, and CPEE Príncipe de Asturias.
The extracurricular activity offerings include varied proposals such as English conversation, dance, psychomotricity, theater, robotics, study techniques, 'diverciencia' (fun science), and new technologies. The 'Los Primeros del Cole' and 'Las Tardes en mi Cole' programs will continue to offer student support before and after school hours in safe spaces.
Registration periods for 'Los Primeros del Cole', 'Las Tardes en mi Cole', and Extracurricular Activities are twofold: from August 10 to September 1 for activities starting in September, and from September 10 to 20 for those beginning in October. Applications can be submitted online or in person at the Education Delegation (Centro Cultural Isabel de Farnesio) starting August 17. Places can be requested throughout the rest of the school year if vacancies exist.
The 'Primeros del Cole', 'Las Tardes en mi Cole', and 'Apoyo al Estudio' (Study Support) activities are eligible for municipal grants. The Patios Abiertos program will run from October 1, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, in the same educational centers mentioned, offering a safe and supervised environment for free play and educational leisure.
Participation in Patios Abiertos is free, in-person, and daily, with a maximum capacity of 18 minors per center. Responsible adults must complete a registration form at the center itself before 4:00 PM. All detailed information is available on the Aranjuez City Council website and at the Department of Education.
