Alcorcón has initiated the comprehensive renovation of one of the pavilions at the Los Cantos Sports Center. The project includes the complete replacement of the flooring, renovation of the stands, and the installation of a new scoreboard.
According to the mayoress, Candelaria Testa, who visited the works with the Councilor for Youth and Sport, Carmen Martín, the renovation of the sports center's floor is part of the municipal commitment to improve sports facilities for citizens.
In pavilion 2, used by volleyball and basketball clubs, the investment amounts to approximately 134,000 euros. These improvements are in addition to the recent installation of a scoreboard at the same sports center.
The mayoress highlighted that the commitment to allocate one in every three euros of investment to sports is being fulfilled.
These interior works complement the renovation of the sports center's exterior space, carried out last summer with an investment of 245,000 euros to improve its condition and accessibility.
The Councilor for Sports, Carmen Martín, announced that nearly two million euros have been invested in sports facilities this year and that the Vicente del Bosque field will be renovated soon, ensuring that all football fields in Alcorcón will be updated.
