From now on, all citizens can access the new Transparency and Open Government Portal of the Ciempozuelos City Council. This tool is designed to facilitate access to institutional, economic, and administrative information of the Consistory, including viewers for contracts, subsidies, and budgets.
The responsible councilor, Frank García Calzado, highlighted that these new features allow public information to be presented in a more visual, understandable, and intuitive way, facilitating the monitoring of municipal management and bringing public data closer to citizens. This project culminates a process initiated by his predecessor, Sandra Pérez.
Thanks to the efforts of the Transparency area and the Government team, Ciempozuelos has increased its compliance in Dyntra, from 14.67% to 62.5%. This progress places the municipality in 12th position in the transparency ranking of the Community of Madrid, surpassing towns such as Aranjuez, Valdemoro, Pinto, and San Martín de la Vega, by meeting 115 out of 184 possible indicators.
The launch of the portal, developed in collaboration with oGov, is part of the municipal strategy to comply with Law 19/2013 on transparency, access to public information, and good governance. García Calzado explained that the project involved a review and improvement of content to facilitate the location and access to public information.
The mayor, Raquel Jimeno, emphasized the "undeniable commitment of this government to transparency," stating that citizens have the right to know how their resources are managed. "We are public servants, the residents are our bosses," she added.
The website of the Ciempozuelos City Council now includes a direct link to the new Transparency and Open Government Portal.
