The Spanish capital once again became a musical hub with the celebration of the Zurich Rock'n'Roll Series Madrid band contest. This event, which brought together numerous groups of the genre, saw a formation from Alcorcón claim the top prize among more than 200 hopefuls.
Beyond the competition, the event was conceived as a true celebration of live music. Although over 200 bands sought a spot on Madrid's stages, only 16 managed to reach the final phase, where they had the opportunity to showcase their talent to the audience and the jury.
Each performance was a display of styles and personality, with groups arriving prepared with their instruments and repertoires. This musical showcase allowed attendees to discover new proposals in a dynamic atmosphere, thanks to the high quality of the participants.
Among all the formations, three stood out and qualified for the final, held at the Teatro Magno in Madrid: All3, Roto, and LATE. Ultimately, the jury selected LATE as the winning band of the 2026 edition. The group, originally from Alcorcón, already has several published works and a sound influenced by different decades, having performed in the municipality on multiple occasions.
