The work focuses on renovating the waterproofing of the roofs of three buildings at the educational center, originally constructed in the 1980s. The main objective is to ensure watertightness and address problems arising from the deterioration of the current system.
The intervention includes the removal of the existing waterproofing and the installation of a new two-layer system. It also involves the repair and replacement of deteriorated roof elements, as well as the adaptation of joints with parapets, drains, and expansion joints.
The project has an execution budget of 123,560.70 euros (VAT included) and an estimated execution period of two months. It is part of the Regional Investment Program of the Community of Madrid 2022-2026, with a regional contribution of 100,000 euros and a municipal contribution of 30,070.50 euros.
The mayor of Sevilla la Nueva, Asensio Martínez Agraz, stated that "the conservation of our schools is a priority. This action allows us to comprehensively address an important need at Duque de Rivas and continue improving the spaces where our children spend a significant part of their day."
This initiative is part of the municipal commitment to the continuous maintenance and improvement of public educational centers, ensuring adequate facilities for the normal functioning of school buildings.
