This measure responds to the municipal request to increase security in one of Sevilla la Nueva's most central and frequented areas. This zone concentrates public buildings, hospitality establishments with terraces, playgrounds, the local market, and hosts numerous municipal and festive events.
The new cameras are integrated into the existing video surveillance network. The management of the image processing system is handled by the Local Police of Sevilla la Nueva, under the supervision of its Chief.
The authorization includes specific guarantees to protect residents' privacy. The recording area is strictly limited to public spaces, and the viewing angles are designed to avoid capturing images of homes or their facades. Privacy zones or masks will be used when necessary to prevent unauthorized recording or viewing.
With this expansion, the Sevilla la Nueva City Council continues its commitment to incorporating technological means to strengthen prevention and security in its public spaces.
