The municipal nursery in Arroyomolinos, under the management of EMUGESA, began operations in 2025 with an initial goal of producing 13,000 plants. Since its launch, it has achieved a production of 27,000 specimens, more than double the initially projected figure.
The project continues to expand, now setting a new objective to reach an annual production of 50,000 plants. This output will be used to replace existing specimens in the municipality and to substitute those experiencing stress with species more resilient to current climatic conditions.
The initiative aims to improve the quality of existing green spaces and adapt new plantings to the specific needs of each area within Arroyomolinos.
Among the areas designated to benefit from this work are Avenida de la Unión Europea, Avenida de Alicante, and Avenida de las Flores, ensuring that the nursery's efforts are directly reflected in the town's streets.
