The municipal pool in Torres de la Alameda has been temporarily closed this Wednesday, June 24, due to a bee infestation. The presence of these insects, originating from "illegal hives" located on a plot adjacent to the facilities, has led the City Council to adopt this measure for safety reasons.
The Council has reported that necessary work will be carried out throughout the day to identify, remove, and eliminate the hives. The main objective is to ensure that the pool can resume its activity under conditions of complete safety for users and staff.
If the work proceeds as planned, the municipal pool is expected to reopen its doors this Thursday, resuming its normal schedule. The facility began its summer season on June 18 and is scheduled to close on August 30.
“"We regret any inconvenience this situation may cause to residents and thank them for their understanding and cooperation while the work is completed."
