The Regional Transport Consortium (CRTM) has assisted in the transfer of approximately 8,000 people since the emergency began due to the fire affecting the western Madrid sierra. The special transport operation, activated by the regional Government, is working tirelessly to support emergency services in evacuations.
This morning's deployment included two buses heading to Sevilla la Nueva for the evacuation of Las Rozas de Puerto Real, and three buses directed to Móstoles and as many to Vicálvaro for the evacuation of Cadalso de los Vidrios. The departure from the Entrepinos Urbanization, in Cadalso, was facilitated by one bus to Alcorcón and another to Madrid.
The evacuation of Cenicientos required five buses bound for Majadahonda and two more for Humanes, demonstrating the scale of this logistical operation that is being rewritten hour by hour.
The Community of Madrid will continue to adapt the public transport system based on the evolution of the emergency and the evacuation needs determined by the intervention services on the ground, keeping the CRTM fleet on maximum alert.
