The Cine en Ruta cycle continues its tour through the towns during October with two new cinematic proposals: 'La voluntaria', by Nely Reguera, and 'Robot Dreams', by Pablo Berger. Both films, though different, share a sensitive look at human relationships and offer the opportunity to enjoy cinema and open spaces for reflection and dialogue.
'La voluntaria' tells the story of Marisa, a recently retired doctor who travels as a volunteer to a refugee camp in Greece. There, she discovers a complex reality, exploring solidarity, the need to feel useful, and the limits of the will to help. The film, starring Carmen Machi, raises questions about cooperation and empathy.
Screenings of 'La voluntaria' will take place on Friday, October 9, 2026, at 7:00 PM in the Centro Polivalente de Cinco Villas, and on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at 7:00 PM in the Sala Polivalente de Paredes.
Meanwhile, 'Robot Dreams' transports the viewer to the New York of the eighties. The story follows Dog, a lonely dog who decides to build a robot for companionship. Their friendship is interrupted by external circumstances. Based on the graphic novel by Sara Varon and directed by Pablo Berger, it is an animated film without dialogue that addresses friendship, loneliness, and new beginnings.
Screenings of 'Robot Dreams' will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 7:00 PM in the Sala Polivalente de Serrada de la Fuente, and on Friday, October 16, 2026, at 7:00 PM in the Salón de Plenos del Ayuntamiento, Mangirón.
