Residents must pay the current year's waste fee bill, as direct application of discounts to the quotas was not possible this year. Subsequently, they will need to submit the information requested in the municipal decree for the City Council to process the corresponding refund.
The council already has the applicable discount percentages for each user for the 2025 fiscal year. Once the required information is received, the refund of the corresponding amount for each case will be processed.
For next year, to qualify for these discounts, it will be necessary to communicate this annually through a general application submitted via the electronic headquarters, indicating whether the discount is requested for using the clean point, installing a composter, or both options. The deadline will be announced in advance and is expected to end around July 20th.
In the case of composters, technical monitoring is a separate procedure from this annual communication, as it requires a prior responsible declaration.
It is recommended to consult the complete decree published by the City Council to follow all instructions and request the refund. Citizen collaboration in responsible waste management is essential for the care of the municipality.
